Curriculum:

The Physical Therapy group (PT) aims to combine Physiotherapeutic theory and in its practice. Our curriculum includes courses in the Humanities, Social Sciences, Arts and the Medical arenas (i.e. Biology, Anatomy, Physiology).

The scope of PT program includes Electrotherapy, Heat Therapy, Orthopedic Physical Therapy, Neurological Physical Therapy, Pediatric Physical Therapy, Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy, Interlocution to Rehabilitation, and Prosthesis.

The scope of OT program includes Orthopedic Occupational Therapy, Neurological Occupational Therapy, Pediatric Occupational Therapy, Interlocution to Rehabilitation and Prosthesis.

To help students integrate professional theories into clinic practices, student will also be provided with internship program in 65 medical centers and hospitals, where they can develop their future career goal.

Concepts of NDT, PNF, and so on. Different types of neurological patients.

Cardiopulmonary Physical Classroom

The research interests of our laboratory are mainly focused on studying exercise effects on normal and pathological cardiovascular function, in human studies. The plethysmography recording system is used to evaluate the vascular function, including contractile and vasodilating responses. Also, the system of cardiopulmonary exercise testing is used to assess the aerobic capacity and other exercise responses.

The effects of exercise on cardiovascular function in diabetic patients; 2) effects of physical agents on cardiovascular function in diabetic patients .

Electrical and Thermal Therapy Classroom

The classroom is set up as the lecture and teaching lab for course of Electrical and Thermal Therapy. This room contains 30 tables, lockers and equipments of Electrical and Therapy The room also contains an overhead projector and 2 screens. Students can have good view when instructor give demonstration.

The effect of physical therapy agents applied on different population and pathology is interesting to students

Fundamental Physical Therapy Classroom

The classroom is set up for student to practice treatment skills related to massage, spine mobilization, nerve mobilization and limb mobilization in manual therapy. This classroom provides students the environment to integrate the basic evaluation techniques and treatment methods (including modality and manual ).

Orthopedic Physical Therapy Classroom

This classroom provides students the environment to integrate the basic evaluation techniques and treatment methods (including modality and manual techniques) in the common musculoskeletal disorders. The orthopedic related dysfunction will be introduced and the specific evaluations and treatments will be instructed and practiced in this classroom.

Orthopedic evaluation techniques; manual therapy; orthopedic therapeutic exercise; biomechanical analysis of musculoskeletal disorders and sports related injuries; mechanical evaluation and therapy of spinal problems

Pediatric Physical Therapy Classroom

The classroom is set up for student to practice assessment and treatment skills needed in pediatric physical therapy.

Neuro-motor development in typical and atypical developing children.

Human Movement Science Lab

The laboratory provides the bases for the understanding the normal and pathological human movement. The laboratory is designed to train students in physical therapy program in the analysis of human movement and to provide diagnostic resources for health care professionals

The knowledge derived from these studies is used to develop rehabilitative techniques, motor control theories and provide the scientific bases for injury prevention and rehabilitation.
